Service Description

Our comprehensive Introduction to Dermal Fillers course is one that encompasses what we felt lacked in the industry; an understanding of the actual products and the technology, hands on training, and an in-depth understand of anatomy pertaining to injectables. This course includes two parts: an Online course (no credit) and a day long Live workshop (8 hrs of credit). To get the most from your experience, you should complete the Online course prior to attending the Live workshop. During the workshop we will review on-label uses of dermal fillers. In addition, we will provide hands-on training for those who want to get a firm understanding of the products and feel confident when injecting dermal fillers. Attendees will be able to inject models and cadavers while getting a feel for how to choose the best tool for the job. Day 1 – Online Course (no credit) Learning Objectives: After completing this course, the participant should be better able to: -Apply the tools needed to complete the job with Dermal Fillers -Understand the following: Calcium Hydroxylapatite, Polylactic Acid, Use and Composition of Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), The Composition and Characteristics of Hyaluronic Acid, G-Prime Chart, Hydrophillic Tendency of Dermal Fillers, Vycross Technology, How a syringe, different sized needle, and cannula alter the ease of injecting dermal filler, Effect of the bevel on injecting & Poiseuille’s Law when it comes to injecting - Assess and Obtain information from the Client - Identify the Anatomy of the face and lips - Inject Nasal Labial Folds - Inject Marionette Lines - Understand the Physiological changes in aging Day 2 – Live Hands-On Workshop – 8 hours of credit! Agenda: During the live, Hands-on workshop, we will: · Start with a Q&A review of the online course material · Observe a master injector treating a model with Dermal Fillers · Review injectable anatomy with the use of a cadaver · Inject a cadaver · Hand-on injecting guidance for those who have a license and are qualified to inject Live Hands-on Workshop - Learning Objectives After completing this course, the participant should be better able to: · Describe important anatomical landmarks of the face · Describe which filler might be more appropriate for an area of the face vs. another · Understand the differences when using a cannula or a needle and to determine which is a better option when injecting a dermal filler · Describe how to best avoid/manage complications when injecting fillers
